IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Director of Special Education K-12

DUTY DATE: June 2-July 2 8:00 am -1:30 pm (June 2 & 3 are prep days, July 2 PM is a prep day)

Applicant needs to be a self-starter and a hard worker. Position includes working with mildly, moderately and/or severely disabled students (intellectually deficient, learning disabled, physically impaired, autistic, hearing impaired, visually impaired, speech impaired and emotionally disturbed).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in education with appropriate Kansas licensure in Special Education or be interested in becoming certified/licensed to teach special education students in the State of Kansas on a waiver.

• Experience with Number Worlds, Reading Mastery, and/or Corrective Reading preferred.

• Experience in a structured teaching classroom preferred, but not required.

PERFORMANCE REPSONSIBILITIES:

• Lead small group instruction, under teacher supervision

• Provide student assistance with such activities as dressing, eating, drinking, and toileting;

• Ability to collect and record data to be used as evidence in educational decisions

• Ability to work with minimal supervision, good organizational skills

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with staff and students

• Clerical functions

• Other duties as assigned

SALARY: Selected candidates will be paid at their hourly rate received during the 2025-2026 school year.
