Maintenance I-Laborers (seasonal)
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or GED
Experience and training in one or more of department skill areas: mowing, grounds maintenance, fencing-playground maintenance, machining, welding, landscaping, equipment operation, asphalt
Ability to work from verbal and written instructions
Knowledge of standard practices, tools and terminology
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively without constant supervision
Knowledge of occupational hazards, safety precautions, hazardous materials and proper ways necessary to perform assigned tasks
Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 100 pounds and pass a pre-employment physical
Ability to perform work independently and dependably according to prescribed standards and technical procedures
Ability to work in varied weather and temperature conditions and to work from heights
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs maintenance work with varied levels of skill in order to effectively maintain the District's buildings, grounds, and equipment in a timely manner. Performs related duties as assigned.
